The this was a 5 star app when it worked prior to iOS9. Please update this app to work with iOS9 and higher.

The description warns you that if you use this in a casino, you could get in trouble--yes you can--lots of trouble. If you are caught with this in a Nevada casino, you will get prosecuted under the "device laws." At a minimum, thats lots of money and hassle to get off. Otherwise, youll be in the slammer. If you need this to count cards, you shouldnt be counting at all. Finally, it mis-defines the High-Low counting system . This is useless and dangerous to have.

Wow, you couldnt be more wrong. Card counting is NOT illegal. Read the actual law, their isnt one. Casinos will kick you out if they see this but it is perfectly legal. This program does what it says. Great App

The act of card counting itself is legal. It becomes illegal when you use a device to help (like an iPhone/iPod). If you get caught using this in a casino, youll be in deep trouble.

Good app,but dont get caught using it in a Las Vegas casino, as you will be arrested and porsecuted by the Gaming Control board for using a device...

i would like to be able to count down a deck one card at a time with the ability to control the speed on the app and try to keep the count then because counting down a deck with actual cards and using this app is stupid

How about a critical index alert based on the count. Maybe in stealth mode a vibration alert for optimal bet increase times. Well worth 2.99 thank you.

The statement that counting is not illegal is correct, but using a device to keep count is. I work in casino surveillance. This is a great program it gives the option to use several different counting systems. However the first review is correct if you get caught using any counting device in a casino you will be arrested. If you are caught counting in your head you can be asked not to play blackjack any more. Good luck.

California gaming authorities tipped off their Nevada counterparts to a blackjack card-counting program that can be used on either the Apple iPhone or the Apple iPod Touch portable music player. "The program calculates the true count and does it significantly more accurately," according to a Gaming Control Board memorandum sent to casino operators last week warning of the electronic device. Card counting is not illegal in Nevada casinos. However, using a device to aid in the counting of cards is considered a felony under Nevada laws governing cheating, control board member Randy Sayre said. Gamblers using the iPhone card-counting program can be detained by casino operators and arrested by state gaming agents. "We wanted to put the industry on notice to be aware this device is out there," He added that there havent been any reports of the device being used in Nevada. Sayre and the agency consider the iPhone program an electronic method for cheating. Operators of a Northern California Indian casino discovered customers using the program and alerted the California Bureau of Gambling Control.The program is installed through the iTunes Web site. It makes counting cards easier, Sayre said. The program uses four different strategies for card counting. It also operates in the "stealth mode," in which the phones screen is shut off. The program can be run effortlessly without detection as long as the user knows where the keys are. Sayre said it is up to individual casino operators to decide policies concerning the use of cellular phones and other electronic devices at gaming tables. Last year, state gaming regulators eliminated the ban on cellular phones inside race and sports books. After iPhones came on the market in 2007, Harrahs Entertainment halted their use at the World Series of Poker. Its hard to know what button you are hitting with the touch screen and not being able to look at it. A company called Emerge Innovations sells a device that is much smaller and has actual buttons that is much easier to use.

It counts cards for you but it really is useless. It doesnt teach you how to use the card counting system. You cant use in a casino or you can be charged with a felony. I would reccomend card counter by tmsoft: it gives you practice and actually teaches you how to count cards.

I always hold true to my word. 2.2.1 fixed all issues, and the estimated true count works great. Although counting is not illegal, using this program in a casino would be, as most states have laws against the use of electronic devices at the table. That said, this makes for great practice; my team uses one dealer that does not count, but now he can keep the others on top of the accurate true count without losing focus of the dealing process. Also it would be great for people that have trouble with true count conversion, and wish to know that info by just keeping a basic count. Congrats to the creaters for a great program.

Why did you put out an app update that removes stealth and vibrate? And why does the app update not let me do the update? Now I forever have 1 update on my app icon because I can not do the update or get rid of it. Please fix this and dont dump the stealth or vibrate! Please.

I bought this when it was first released, and it was great. Now with the update, two KEY features were lost: Stealth mode & Vibrate. Without those, this apps usefullness has decreased dramatically. I will not recommend this app until those features are added back.

I would assume the vibrate and stealth features were removed due to pressure from the casino industry, or from Apple itself. While card counting is not illegal, using a device in a casino IS illegal. Either way, it clearly states in the app description that if you want the vibrate and stealth options, then DONT update. This is a great app, and as a casino surveillance employee that tries to catch card counters, I have a bit of experience in the matter. By the way, from a gamblers perspective, this app would be more useful as a training and practice tool. Anyone with a bankroll large enough to actually count cards in a casino would probably be able to do so without help from an application.
